MY STORY

My superpower is translating technical, complicated jargon into easy-to-understand, meaningful content. 

It all started at my first job. Just a few weeks out of journalism school, I was hired as a medical and science writer at one of the world's top medical universities, the University of California, San Francisco.

"But I don't have a medical degree," I told my future boss.

"Well, it's easier to teach a writer about medicine, than a doctor how to write," she said.

There began my love of immersing myself into unfamiliar, complex worlds and making sense out of them with stories. Being a writer means that I'm always learning something new. Over the course of two decades, I have written about a wide range of topics, including health and science, technology, design, financial services, architecture, interiors, fashion and more.
